Which software and render engines are available on nodes, and how to choose a version.

Nodes come with a preinstalled set of software and render engines for 3D rendering. The available set depends on the specific node.

Supported software

• Cinema 4D
• Houdini
• Blender
• After Effects

Render engines

• Octane
• Redshift
• V-Ray
• Arnold
• Karma

Software and engine compatibility is handled automatically. For example, Octane for Houdini comes paired with a specific Houdini version. If you pick an incompatible pair, the interface will tell you.

How to choose a version

Before the start, or in the session settings, you specify the software, its version and the engine. The interface shows only the versions that are actually installed on the selected node and compatible with each other.

If the software you need is missing

The software on nodes gets updated. If you need a specific package or version, contact support and describe your task.
