Wallets: personal and project

How a personal wallet differs from a project wallet, and how money moves between them.

EvaFarm has two types of wallets. Knowing the difference helps you keep track of which wallet a rental is charged to.

Personal wallet

It is tied to your account and kept separately in rubles and dollars. It is topped up through support, and you use it to transfer money to projects. You cannot rent directly from your personal wallet.

Project wallet

Each project has its own wallet, in the project’s fixed currency. All new rentals are paid from it: before you start a node, you need to choose or create a project.

How money moves

  • The owner tops up the project wallet with a transfer from their personal wallet.
  • The owner can withdraw funds from the project back to their personal wallet.
  • Rentals by the owner and members are charged to the project wallet.
  • With auto-topup on, any shortfall is transferred from the owner’s personal wallet to the project.

All project operations are recorded in the project log, and your personal ones in History.

Which wallet is charged

A rental is always paid from the selected project’s wallet, no matter which tab you started selecting nodes on. History keeps the payment source of older personal sessions.

Debt

If per-minute charging takes the balance below zero (an overdraft on the last minute), a small debt appears. It is paid off with your next top-up.
